Each work by Wallace Ulrich is first discovered in the quarry, recorded, meticulously removed and then hand prepared.  Here a large fossil fish Diplomystus is centered in a slab of Fossilstone™.  Within the stomach and gullett are the articulate remains of its meal, the smaller Knightia eocena, a freshwater herring.

The table base is a hand created iron work by Ulrich from one of Wyoming's old oil pipelines, polished and finished with a patina of browns and tans.
